History

This is a 66 year old man who presents with an elevated serum PSA. Several needle core biopsies of the prostate were obtained.

Microscopic Findings

   

On the end of the one of the needle core biopsies is a collection of mucin with suspended neoplastic glands.

Immunoperoxidase staining for PSA was negative. Appropriate internal controls were visualized.

    Immunoperoxidase staining for CEA demonstrated strong positivity.
